How They Served Their Community

The Clarksburg Mission Harrison County Relay for Life A group of twenty WBOY-TV employees volunteered at The Clarksburg Mission for a total of 80 hours of service. The Clarksburg Mission is a place that houses and feeds homeless men, women, and children in the area. The groups were split up with some working in the food pantry, preparing meals for lunch, and sorting through clothes that were packed into 12,000 pound bundles to be sold. Later that afternoon, another group of 10 employees helped the area's American Cancer Society set up for its annual Relay for Life event. WBOY employees helped set up tents, information booths, set out luminaries, sell t-shirts, and do any odd jobs needed prior to the event. Both organizations were extremely thankful and appreciative of the time the WBOY team gave.
